There’s always something exciting in the East Atlanta Strut Parade, the wackiest and most fun parade in East Atlanta. From marching bands to Darth Vader to neighborhood kids to dragons on wheels to the wondrous Queens of the Strut, the parade shows off everything there is to love about East Atlanta! The parade starts at 2:00 p.m. at Glenwood and Patterson Avenues. Get your viewing spot early!
Don’t want the parade to pass you by? The Strut has opened its call for entries. For the third year the parade is urging groups of neighbors to show off pride in their streets by joining the parade. Last year’s winner of the Street Strut will be ready to take on all contenders.
Decorate your bicycle, car, truck or stroller — or just decorate yourself and put on your strutting shoes. Whether you want to have fun or want to spread the word about your group or business in a unique way, the Strut Parade is the way to go.
Strutting with a group is also a great way to celebrate a birthday, anniversary, or other milestone!

Volunteers receive the delightful and collectible Strut T-shirts, a free wristband and access to the volunteer VIP area at The Union.
Duties include selling wristbands, working in the adult game area, staffing the children’s area, helping run the parade and working with festival setup or breakdown.
