Explore some flowering neighborhood jewels and support the work of the Historic Sylvester Cemetery Foundation while enjoying great bands and delicious food and drink.
A $20 ticket gives you access to all gardens from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on May 3, plus three great bands from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m., and a free drink.
Or skip straight to the bands and free drink starting at 3 p.m. with a $10 ticket.
Children age 12 and younger are welcome at both parts of the festival at no charge.
Sylvester Cemetery, at 2073 Braeburn Circle, began around 1838 as a family plot on land owned by the Terry family. After being neglected for generations, and being almost totally abandoned in the 1970s, the cemetery has been brought back to life by the Historic Sylvester Cemetery Foundation. But there’s still work to do. It’s time for this hidden gem to be discovered, and for the foundation’s dedicated volunteers to get some assistance. The East Atlanta Strut is happy to help.
The southeast corner of the cemetery is the perfect spot for great music. Bring lawn chairs or a blanket for the late-afternoon celebration with three great bands.
