Thanks to our community, we surpassed our goal of raising $10,000 to help address homelessness in East Atlanta Village! The Strut kicked in a $10,000 grant, for a total donation of $21,325 toward the East Atlanta Community Association‘s contract with Intown Cares for a full-time social worker based in EAV. Michael Nolan started in October and is doing daily outreach with unhoused people. We also want to thank Council Member Liliana Bakhtiari, who arranged for the city to pay the bulk of the contract.
