DESPITE THE WEATHER!
The Strut is still on, despite the rain. All stages are covered,so the music will be playing all day long and the beer is flowing - bring an umbrella and soak up the festival spirit! Plus there's a chance the rain will ease up this afternoon. So come on down and Strut with us!

Here are some timings so you can plan your day on Saturday:
5K: 8 a.m. start (sign-in 7 - 7:50 a.m.)
Music: 10:30 a.m. -10 p.m.
Artist Market: 10 a.m. -7 p.m.
Kids Area: 11 a.m. - 5 p.m.
Community Area: 10 a.m. - 6 p.m.
Food Vendors: 10 a.m. -10 p.m.

You too can perform! Come compete in the Queen of the Strut Contest at 1pm (e-mail vicepresident@eaca.net to take part), take a ride on the 13 Roses mechanical bull from 2 to 6pm, or compete in fun contests such as " Best Hat", "Best Boots", "Best Strut" or "Best Sideburns and/or Mustache" at the 13 Roses Beer Parlor at 7pm! Sign up for all of these contests will be at the information booth at the center of the festival at Flat Shoals and Glenwood Avenue.

We've posted some tips for the day of the Strut - check them out if you're planning to attend! In brief, take public transport if possible and remember that bikes and dogs are not permitted inside the festival footprint.

The deadline for grant applications has been extended until September 14 - if you are a local non-profit that could benefit from Strut funds, check out our grants information and application form here.

Details of the silent auction have been posted and we're looking for donors - we want to hear from you if you have something that could be auctioned!

If you can't wait one more month for the Strut, check out the Scavenger Hunt for The Strut, happenning this Saturday, August 21 between 1 - 5 p.m, starting at The Midway. $25 entry fee, tons of prizes, and best of all, proceeds go to the Strut! Full details here.

Community area applications are now open - make sure your business or nonprofit is represented at the Strut - sign up for a booth now!

If you're a local business, spread the word about your organization in a unique way by having a float, car or marchers in the East Atlanta Strut Parade. Register online here!
Parade registration is $10, or free to businesses who are sponsoring the Strut.
